Accessibility statement
Last updated: 2026-06-12 — Prepared with reference to the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the WCAG 2.2 success criteria.
Toy Safety EU 2025/2509 Readiness Check is committed to making this tool usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Measures we take
- Semantic structure. Each page uses a single
<h1>, correctly nested headings, landmark regions and a "skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can navigate efficiently. - Keyboard operability. The readiness ledger is fully operable with the keyboard; every form control has an associated, visible label and help text, and the live result region is announced via an ARIA live region as inputs change.
- Colour and contrast. Text and interactive elements are designed to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios. The interface does not rely on colour alone to convey meaning.
- Responsive, zoom-friendly layout. Content reflows without loss of information or function at 320 CSS pixels of width and at 200% zoom.
- Reduced motion. Non-essential motion is suppressed for users who set
the
prefers-reduced-motionpreference.
